Have a lot of elm trees popping up and was wondering if piranha type tooth bar will pull them or just shear them off . Was wanting to pull them so they won’t grow back.

How many, what size and over how large or small an area? Pictures help.

If they're small enough, just mowing will eventually convince them to give up.

Elm has a wicked tap root. However big they are, pulling them will be more work than just about any tree of similar size.

Mowing is the fastest option for small saplings. Or spray with vegetation killer now and mow in the fall. A root grapple can be be used to pull 1"-2" stuff. may get too much dirt in your burn pile. A tree puller is amazing and fun implement to use. My B2650 maxes out in the 3"-4" range depending on tree species and soil conditions. Larger trees, chainsaw - grapple makes debris cleanup easy.
