3-Point Hitch pto will not engage

Good afternoon all. I am a new member and I thank anyone,in advance, for responding.
I have a mahindra 3525 and recently the clutch stuck. I did manage to unstick it and it has been running good.
Well until today that is. Now the PTO will not engage. There is a lot of grinding of course but I did force it to engage by slowing the RPM's.
Pushing the clutch in will not stop the PTO.Help me out fellas, thanks

I don't have a 3525, but there is a switch on my dash that says "Manual" or "Automatic" for the PTO. If you have it in "Manual" the only way to shut off the PTO is to push the button to engage it. It's an on/off switch. If you have it in "auto", you turn it off by raising the 3pt arms.
