Mowing PTO speeds

You need to figure out which PTO gear is 540 at the rated RPM; but for the ground speed, it depends on how fast you can run through whatever you are cutting and gives you a good cut. The pto speed is independent from ground speed.

Howse Bush Hog is going to be rated at 540 rpms.

Go back to post #2. These are Yanmars with PowerShift and multi-speed PTOs that are engine RPM controlled to the final output of 500RPMs at the PTO.

It's not gearing thing if one things about old American Iron tractors. these are Japanese tractors.
