Where is the best place to buy the cheapest possible shaft covers? I will need two of them, and if they are terribly expensive I will probably just do without. I was surprised how hard they were to find at online retail places. I don't even remember seeing them at TSC, even though I am about positive they wouldn't have the best price anyways.

Check out Agri-Supply (agrisupply.com).

They have been the most reasonable I could find on complete shield sets & also have component shield parts. Don't know what the shipping would be, they are close enough for us to drive in & pick up.

Not having an Agri-Supply outlet anywhere close - - I would suggest the company that sold the pto shaft or on-line at the pto manufacturers web site.

Please don't just let it go. In most farm communities there is a memory of a person who got tangled up in a PTO shaft. I personaly know 2. One died that day and the other lived about a year. Don't add to the list of PTO deaths.

Most of the companies that made my equipment are out of business.

I recently bought online from paulbparts.com They have a great website with every possible PTO part or complete shaft. Shipping was next day

G'day check out the covers from bare co their lever lock design is excellent and makes it so much easier for joint greasing.

Merry Christmas

It is worth the extra effort to find them. There is a post on TBN safety section now about a fellow who had both arms ripped off by a PTO shaft.
