Live PTO has a dual clutch (two-stage) (PTO and Drive Disc). If you have the clutch pedal depressed fully and release it 1/2 way or so your PTO will engage. Once you release the pedal all the way then the ground drive will engage. Live PTO requires the clutch to be depressed whereas, Independent can be engaged on the go with no interaction with the clutch. Hope that helps!
