I believe the PTO clutches are out on my Yanmar F395D. I'm wondering how to access them. I know there is next to no one having a F395D but thinking there are other models that will be similar on how to access the clutch plates on the PTO. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Does the F395 have a live pto? :confused3: Seems to be very little information on line. If that is what you are talking about a split at the engine/clutch housing will reveal the clutch.

Thanks for your reply Winston1. I don't believe it is a two stage clutch. So if it's not, any idea on how I would access the clutches?

Inquire if Dave's Tractor in Red Bluff will look at it for you.

He became the Mahindra western region distributor but he got his start with used tractors including importing clean used Yanmars back in the day so he's very familiar with them.

He occasionally posts in the Mahindra forum now, and always has excellent advice.

No doubt over my knowledge level. I know nothing about pto clutches other than the two stage.

Hello California,

Thank you for your reply.

I have spoke to Dave at Dave's Tractor before, couldn't ask for a nicer guy. I'm sure they would look at it for me but I can't do the $95.00 P.H. I was hoping someone would have an idea of where to start but if not I will just have to wing it. Done that plenty of times before. :)

So your tractor moves and has power in all gear ranges just does not have pto? Tractors from this era have a one-way clutch in the transmission. To get to it you slit the tractor in three pieces and remove just about everything in the transmission after removing it completely. Pretty serious job.

Well, that's not wanted to hear.. :) Yes, everything works and the PTO will turn just won't turn an implement. Also I can stop it by it with my hand. Thanks for your reply

Are you sure the shift forks are hooked up? In the past I have had mine loosen up and fall out of place with the shifter
