PTO length , need a few inches to Cat 1 between tractors

I just got a Kubota B7200, and have it sorted out except for a poor electrical connection at the fuel level sender.

I tried to hitch up the McKissic chipper /shredder, only to find the PTO shaft is too long. (fitted to the Hurlimann 435)

Question???

Pat's easy change or a "harbor fright" quick hitch to add the needed two inches of distance between the PTO stub and the implement?

$100 for one, $180 for the other... Not really an issue, but the need is only a few inches. ;-)

Go with the Pat's as you will find the HF will not fit all your implements without some modification.
Another option (and cheaper) is if your only PTO implement is the chipper, cut the shaft to accommodate the shorter distance. But if you plan to use the chipper on both tractors, that will not be much of an option :laughing:

A quick hitch has other conveniences, but if you just need to shorten the shaft, then shorten the shaft. It's about 5 min work with a hacksaw, or 30 seconds with a saws-all.

Shortening the shaft is NOT an option. The implements would not be usable on the larger tractor.

Then spend the $80 extra bucks and go with Pat's. The quality will be far superior.

The Pat's is excellent equipment, and will be the most versatile.
