Pto issues wont turn on was running and stopped

The rear PTO stopped working on the JD 2025R a few weeks back. PTO light was still on. Thought I'd sheared a shear bolt in the bush hog. Nope.

JD picked it up the end of that week and had it back to me by the end of the next week. Cost me $694, almost half that in just the PTO relay that had gone bad. One the JD, it's behind the bottom part of the instrument cover.

i had my pto relay go out on my Kioti. i replaced it my self. part is about $30. how could they charge you so much . did they haul the tractor?

edit: i just looked up the part for the JD2025R pto relay....yeiks $315 for a simple relay. there nuts. mines a simple 2 part relay like the use for lights, windshield wipers, etc. i bought 2 extra to have on hand. they were less than $30 each. i really cant believe how much JD charges for parts. on my old JD870 a simple plastic grill trim piece was almost $150.
