The 12.5kw pto gen in northern requires 24 pto hp.

You can always do a rough hash claculation by setting aside 2hp ker KW.. etc.

I just thought I would mention a relatively cheap way to keep an eye on the frequency and voltage if your generator head doesn't have readable meters, or if you just don't want to stand out in the barn while it powers the house.
I purchased a Kilawatt meter(P3) and it just plugs into any wall outlet and will tell you at a glance what is going on with the generator. Might be worth a few dollars to pick one up. I got mine on ebay.
