PTO engagement

Hello everyone I have a 2017 HST 4010 with 15 hours I am finding it more difficult every time I try to engage the PTO. It either grinds or is very hard to engage it is not a smooth transition. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you lower the RPM's first?
Could be that idle RPM's are the ideal speed.
While I'm a 'gear shift' tractor I do find that I need to be close to idle B4 I can engage PTO so perhaps you need to do that also.
Note that a PTO is not 'a synchromesh' system.
