PTO Dash Light not working

Hello All, I own a JD 855 Compact Utility Tractor. My most recent problem with it is that the PTO warning light on the dash will not come on when the PTO is engaged. The PTO works fine, but the warning light will not come on. I replaced the light bulb with a brand new one and it made no difference, still no light when the PTO is engaged. I am thinking it is an electrical problem of some kind. Any thoughts or fixes will be appreciated. Thank you, Mark.

Need to find the sender/switch and make sure it is working properly. If it is check the wire from the switch to the light. You may find the switch just got bumped out of alignment or is full of dirt.

The lamp indicator switch is located on the rear of the transaxle, below the dipstick. Make sure the wires have not come off the switch. You can also remove the wires from the switch and use a jumper to short the terminal of the harness to test the switch. If the light comes on when you jump the harness, then the switch is bad.
