PTO cover?

My recently delivered B7610 didn't come with a cover for the rear or mid-PTO's. I think the manual mentions this cover and I've read posts here where others have mentioned this plastic cap.

Should I have received them and should I have covers installed on the PTO's when I'm using the tractor without attachments? I'm not thinking a safety issue but rather keeping the dirt and grass off of my PTO's...

It should have come with a rear PTO cover. There isn't one for the mid.

Funny, I just came in from playing with my brand new BX 2230. (The grass is still too wet to mow and it's killing me waiting to try this thing out. )

Anyhow, even before reading your post, I noticed I don't have a cap on my rear PTO either. I had seen in the manual where you are supposed to. Guess I'll call the dealer about it.

This might sound dumb, but does the tractor have a little tool box and is it in there? When mine was delivered, they had the rotarty cutter on and I never thought about the cap for the PTO. Never thought about it until I happened to look in the little tool box under the seat and saw it sitting in there.

Hah, no... the only thing in the tool box was the clutch block. I was just at the dealer yesterday picking up fluids and I totally forgot to ask about it. Brain fade... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
