I have a Ford NAA that requires an adapter/overrunning coupler. I have twisted two of them within the past year, one on a 4' bushhog, and the other a winch. Neither of these is especially abusive and it seams odd to me. Both couplers were from a reputable dealership, next time I am going to buy the cheap one from agri supply. Anyone else have this problem?

We have had the same coupler on ours for over fifteen years and run a 5' hog off it. We got it from a local Ag Mart.

Tessiers, do your rotary cutters have a slip-clutch or grade #2 shearbolt? I twisted many shearbolts off with my NAA and a $50 overrun clutch. Of course, that $50 was in 1994, so it was a high quality ORC. If you have a slip-clutch, it may not be adjusted properly and the ORC is the weakest link. If you have a shearbolt, I'd make sure it is grade 2 and not grade 5 or 8.
