Backhoe PTO Backhoe Conversion? Please Help.

Hi, I have a 3 pt hitch backhoe that runs off the PTO and would like to convert it to run off my tractor remotes. Has anybody done this? If so, how? thanks!!!

What size tractor do you have? Tapping into the tractor's system isn't hard to do, and there's usually enough pressure available, but if the internal hydraulic pump doesn't put out enough volume the backhoe may move slow.

Exactly just like rbargeron posted. A pto pump will most likely put out more volume than the tractor hydrualics ever will. Result will be a slow and powerless back hoe.

Just to add something: The PTO pump may let you operate the hoe at idle or very low RPM while using the tractors hydraulics almost always requires a higher RPM.

But, we really need to know what you have before anybody can make a informed suggestion.

Why do you want to make the conversion anyway?
