Gday Folks ......i have just purchased a massey 595 (similar to a 1085) that has independent pto....im unable to get the pto to engage ,i was told that there is a bit of an art to it ...can anyone help ...the pto lever is on the left hand side near the clutch ...when i move it to rear position and lift it the pto turns but there is no power transmitted even the weight of dropping a mower into light grass will stop the rotation ...help please!
