PT425 towing mode??

Dead battery, broken exhaust stud, tow ports, gas tanks, welding, carbs.... YIKES!

My 2001 model year PT425 battery died. The metal battery hold down strap wore through the case and that was that. As many of you know, on this iteration of PT425 layout, the muffler has to be removed to get the battery out. Four nuts on four studs.... three came off... one stud snapped very...

Amazon has a variety of metal fuel shut off valves to fit different fuel line sizes.

I use the plastic ones for gasoline and they have always worked good and less then $1 each.

+1 on those. I have used those on a couple of small engines for years; mainly I use them to be able to shut the valve and run the carburetor dry.

Just have to remember to turn it back on or you'll be half way down the driveway when the engine dies. (ask me how I know)
