PT422 First Engine Oil Change

The Robin Engine manual says to change the first oil at 20 hours. I'm used to changing it at less hours on a new engine. What did you guys do?

What do they recommend after the first change?

every machine that comes into our shop we change after 5 hours over to synthetic oil, especially the one that always or most the time run at full trottle i.e. mowers etc.

Ah, so someone does use synthetic oil in the engine! I was thinking about that. Should significantly prolong the engine life. What weight should I use in my Briggs 18HP V-twin?

we use whatever is recommended by the manufacturer as far as weight goes. my exmark has the identical eng as the pt and they authorize 100 hours per oil change
