PT owner "confused"

Ok,

First let me ask anyone:

Is a "Post" different than a "Thread"?

Second, my "Thread" (Moved: Foundation for barn) was moved to the "Rural" forum.

I am not sure why (or by who) because it is still related to the Power Trac, in as stated, work will be performed with the PT, and the PT will be stored inside the barn.

And third, obiviously I have not read all the fine print concerning this forum, because I was very surprised my 'post' or 'thread' or what ever I did was moved out of the Power Trac Forum!

I am trying to look at everything on the page to see why, and also buy whom, and who to contact...but I am not computer savy and up to this point don't have a clue!

Hello, Idabe.

When you start a new discussion such as your barn discussion, you make a post with a new title. That post and any posted replies to it constitute a thread.

I have moderator privs, but was not the one that moved your thread. While it is true that you will be using the PT to build the barn and it is for your PT( and the PT folks are the smartest bunch on the planet ) you will get many more hits, suggestions and really good answers if you post a construction question such as yours in an area frequented by more TBN members than the speciallized PT forum. Your post was pretty specific that you wanted suggestions for building a barn, not a question specific to your PT. And some members notified the moderators that your post would be better off in a different forum than the PT forum. Think of it this way... your question and all answers, replies and experiences shared by all will benefit all of the TBN members when any one of them goes to build their barn.

Thanks for the response, and your wisdom. You are probably right in your reasoning. It just really surprised me that it was moved.
I hope I do get some replies in the other forum.
