Mark and Gordon, I agree with both of you. Rick's the kind of guy you like to deal with. And Gordon, I agree. I like my tiltmeters on my canopy; out of the way, pretty well protected from limbs and such, but still easy to see.

Hey Mark,Bird,Gordon, and all the great guys on tbn.
I was having a lousy day today, but your comments brought
things back in perspective. First the air conditioner went
out in my shop/office. Heat index here today was 110 F.
A $648.00 order I shipped a month ago U.S. Mail, was never
received. In a hurry and did not register, or send proof of
delivery. My Fault. Spent most of day building new ones for
the order. My fax machine ate 3 orders. No idea who from.
But after reading your comments, the problems faded into
the background. Thanks Guys. Rick

Dang, Rick, if I had a day like that, I'm not sure any kind of comments would help much./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif Good luck with getting back on track.

I worked in the sun all day installing a water main and sewage pump for the new dental trailer for VOP. I dropped a dime down the storm drain and couldn't reach it. My printer wouldn't print so I put some paper in it. Jeeezzzz My day was perfect compared to you Rick. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Rick, what Mark says go for me as well. You are a rare business fellow in a world of the quick buck. What a pleasure to deal with you. Best of luck with the new design.

Rick - So let me get this straight: You had that kind of day, and got your perspective back after reading a few posts we made about you?

Incredible. Getting over that kind of day usually requires substance abuse...

(You're welcome for the kind words, but you earned 'em.)

Gordon,
You have expressed interest in testing new proto-types of
tiltmeters in the past. Well, I have a proto-type of new
mounting bracket that I have tested, but it is ready for
consumer testing. Of course, I will include a model #25c
to use with the bracket. The new bracket uses the double
sided tape only, and requires no hole drilling. I do not
expect it to work where brush and limbs hit it, but should
work well in most cases. I DO NOT ENDORSE USING A MAGNET
FOR MOUNTING, but for a temporary mount, a magnet will not
affect the ball. Soon, I am going to a stainless steel ball
for all models anyway. (non-magnetic). I should have 2-3 samples
for testing soon. Keep in mind, they are proto-types I made
from a bracket I found that was for a different purpose, and
modified it for my use. They are steel, but if they are well
liked, I will make a mold and make them out of a graphite
material that is EXTREMELY tough, but light. The proto-type
allows the indicator to be adjusted at any angle, allowing
mounting on instrument panel, hood, etc. without holes.
The foot print of mount is about 1" tall, and 2" wide.

Gordon, Mark, et al,

I went by Rick's place this past week and bought a 25c tiltmeter from him in person. The new bracket looks very good and I think Rick is really on to something again. He and his staff are very friendly and easy to deal with. I was pleasantly surprised to find out he was in business locally.

Hi Grant,
We were very glad to meet you when you came by. Too bad
we were so busy on new mounting bracket, or I would have
let you buy me a steak for lunch. Oh well, maybe next time.
Thank you sir! Rick

If you have it ready, as I said before I would be more than happy to give my honest opinion of the product. If you would like me to give you a call just let me know.

Thanks in advance
Gordon

Rick, thanks for the offer and now all I have to do is decide if I want to buy the 7489c or the 25c. Decisions, decisions---I had the 7489c on my last tractor and it was great.

I'll get in touch with you as to what model I decide. Please hold a mount for me to test if you would.
Thanks in advance
Gordon
