My dad has it. Thankfully, the testing has shown it is the slow growing kind. They check his blood levels every 6 months, which have actually improved over the last two years. Most likely he will never require any treatment, unless he lives to be 120.

I'm at home on the couch. Nice to be able to eat. Hadn't had anything since Sunday night till this morning. Gonna be alot of internet surfing for at least a week.

The worse is over and the odds are on your side. Main thing now is to follow your doctor's post-op instructions explicitly. Next two weeks will be a PITA but don't let that get you down. There's light at the end of the tunnel. :thumbsup:

They removed my prostrate 2 years ago and later tests prove me clear of any cancer signs.
Doctor said he did not want to see me again.
The worst part was wearing the bag while I awaited surgery.

Got the catheter out yesterday. Got home jumped on the kubota and mowed for 3 hrs. Tired of not being able to do anything.

So had appointment with Dr. today to go over the pathology report. He was impressed with my recovery. Thought it had been a month but only 2 weeks. Report showed cancer on both sides of prostate. Gleason score 7 stage 2. There is a small chance I still have some cells. The cancer had made it it to the edge of the prostate. Will go back for PSA check in 3 months. Get to return to work at end of month.

Keep your fingers crossed.

So how long you been off work? I broke a stinkin index finger back in August and was off for 2 months... for a finger! Drove me nuts.
