Hey all, I've got a complete newbie question about tilling. I got my new tiller hooked up to my cs2410 today for the first time. When tilling I used the 3 point hight adjustment to set the tiller down. Do I leave the hight adjustment knob down while tilling, or put it back in neutral? As I was tilling with it in the neutral position, I noticed that when I would go over bumps the tiller would be pushed up and then stay at that height so if I didn't catch it, I wouldn't be tilling as deep. I'm just not sure if is ok to leave it in the down position.

Thanks

I use the depth adjustment on the tiller for the depth control and put the 3pt all the down.

Put the 3 pt down as far as it will go and let it float. Use the skid shoes on the tiller to adjust height if you don't want it at full depth.

Depends on how your tiller operates, especially in virgin ground. I sometimes use the 3pt to hold the tiller up on first pass to reduce bounce, and let it just slice into the sod. Then progressive lower it as I make a second pass. If the ground is already tilled, I set the 3pt all the way down and go, using the tiller skids to adjust depth.
