Even if the operator manages to retain his left arm, the shaft is actually rubbing on the seat fabric. How long is that going to work?

That seat isn't even dirty from the shaft turning. That makes me think maybe the shaft never tuned? Surely the seat, which appears to be fabric would be dirty.

I've got a feeling there's a lot on that machine that has never worked (as it's configured).

I don't know.... its got a platform, a motor, belts that constantly turn the two drive pumps, a hydraulic reservoir, two wheel motors, wheels, a clutch to engage/disengage the mower deck so you can move it with or without the blades spinning.... If you put handlebars and levers to move the drive pump controls, it would probably be a working walk-behind unit. Put a safety cover on that driveshaft and some sort of better seat mount, AND A CUP HOLDER and off you go! :laughing:

At his price from the looks there are double that in components if they are all in good condition.
Engine alone is pricey.
