I agree. He just learned of a 22x11 wheel and researching that option now. Time will tell. Hopeful a 35 tire will fit with that wheel without rubbing. Ordering the lift kit tomorrow.

Here is what the 33 inch tires would look like with the 20x12 rims. This site has many trucks displaying many setups. People are reporting rubbing with the 35's but not terrible. Some trimming may be necessary with the 35's and none with 33's.

Got a little setback today. Took the truck in for an inspection and the mechanic drove it off the lift and did $2500 damage. They are a great shop and were sick about it. It knower over an oil catch barrel and hit a white pole. Poor mechanic was having a bad day.

Funny. I have a 2wd I could make Nascar style. I would hate to lower a 4wd and loose the snow capabilities.

To do it right, think about the GMC Syclones. AWD, center diff, turbo V6. That would be the way to do it. Modernize that, with IRS.

A regular 4x truck could be lowered. But it would have issues with the the drivetrain; regular 4x4 system would be too bound up on the street. Would have to have a differential or something between the transfercase and front end, ala Audi Quattro or Syclone.
