Kubota B7800
Hi all. Even though this is only my second post, I read and learn so much from these forums. I have a 2006 B7800 which I love dearly. The other day, the engine started cutting out as I was using it. If I stop quick enough, it will keep running. Otherwise, it would stall. My first thought was the fuel filter so I changed it. But in order to do this, I removed the side panel. It was full of oil. Upon looking at the engine, I noticed a hole blown out on the side right below the injectors! What in the world would have caused this and how pricey is it to fix? Looks like its on a square plate thats bolted on. I am a widow with not much money but I really need to get this repaired. Any help would be so greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your problem. Any chance you can post a picture?
There are some diagnostic/repair gurus on here who I'm sure could steer you right with a little more information.
Hang in there, help is on the way...

I would get someone with a good knowledge of tractors to look at it. If it did have a hole chances are you would have heard it making it! I'd say that the fuel filters is the reason for the power loss unless do to the loss of oil a bearing might have got spun or other type of internal damage.

The plate is the throttle connection. It could have come loose? Look at the throttle linkage coming thru the fire wall for what might be connected on the end. It may be as simple as bolting it back together.

I also looked today and it's like tractorworks said. I'll look at my parts manual and see what all is under it.

My looking at the parts, it looks like the injection pump can apart. Have the cam checked and make sure all the broken parts are found.
