problems with hydraulic system

We have changed the hydraulic system and flushed it several times but after running for around an hour the systems quits working. You let it cool off for an hour or so and it will work for another hour. It this a pump issue or what?:dance1:

We put in the hydraulic/transmission #303 like the manual says. we did flush the system several times with diesel and the fluid is clear. when you start off it lifts and works great but then 30 minutes to 1 hour it will squeal when you try and lift it and will not lift. wait an hour and it will work for 30 more minutes.

Sounds like it has a screen in the suction line and you didn't have it out while flushing and packed it full with stuff.

What make/model are you trying to get hyd's to operate on?

A pressure gauge is the next step.

There could be a lot of diesel left in the system.

If it is a hydrostat, put a pressure gauge in your charge system. This is typical of a worn pump/motor in that type of system. One you loose charge pressure because of hot oil the system stops until it cools off. CJ
