problem with starting Massey Ferguson

My 1533 has always started in all kinds of weather and was used one week ago now it turns over fast enough to crank but won't. I have put a clean fuel filter in and done everything I can think of but the only problem I can think might be causing this is the seat switch. Any suggestions?

If it was the seat switch I don't think it would even crank.

Agreed ... If it cranks then the seat switch isn't the issue. Sounds like fuel delivery. Is your fuel pump "clicking" when you turn the key?

Are you seeing "smoke" fuel when you crank it?

How do you stop it, do you pull a lever or just turn the key off, if you just turn the key off check the fuel solenoid.

I believe there is a valve near the fuel filter that can shut off fuel to the engine. Perhaps it got bumped?

I would check the fuel shut off solenoid. Remove it from the injector pump, you'll probably see that it has melted. They are energized to run, and not an uncommon point of failure.
