I have a L4330 and it keeps cutting out. I will be running the tractor then motor will quit then I hear a solenoid click and as long as the motor is still spinning it will refire on its own if the motor stops I can hear the solenoid then restart with the key... I would think it has to be a fuel shutoff solenoid.. Any ideas on how to fix it ..Thanks

K4330 I suspect you have a bad electrical connection. The most common problem spot is the fuses slide them out and then back in, that should clean the contacts. KennyV

I agree with what KennyV stated, IE, electrical connection.
If not a fuse, check for loose electrical wire connection from fuel solenoid back to switch. If you have a VOM meter, set it on DC volts, attach it to the fuel solenoid post, and wiggle the wire at each connection with the switch "ON". Or, just wiggle the wire with switch"ON" and you will hear the solenoid kicking on/off if a loose wire.

The ignition switch can be the bad actor too.

Check the operator presence switch under the seat.

Well I got it going not sure what it was but after I unplugged the fuel solenoid and used the power in the wire with the key on to click the solenoid a few times it has been running since.. I guess it was a bad connection at the solenoid .. Thanks again ..

"fuel timer " ??

Yes, its right next to the flux capacitor and just behind the thermal modulator coil.

do post back with what they do to your tractor I can not imagine what the dealer could possibly be calling a fuel timer and what might cause your intermittent problem. Do let us know what it turns out to be KennyV.

I got it back and it seams fine, I had the seat safety switch rigged so it was on all the time since the tractor was new.. They replaced what they called the fuel timer. $60 part $240 labor.. They rechecked everything I did and then found the timer was not working , It is located behind the dash board .. Thanks

I suppose they could be referring to the fuel shut off timer relay BUT that痴 a lot of labor to change out that relay ? KennyV.
Thanks for the post back with what was done
