Since moving to an acreage in 1984, we've always had small tractors, starting with a Kubota 7200, then Kubota 9200, then Ford 1520, finally a New Holland TC33. Last fall as we had now access to round bales, and were going to use a Post Pounder to build a vineyard I bought a NH TN60A which would do "everything" we ever needed a tractor to do. My wife has always driven and capably used the first four tractors we had to do chores, push snow, move sawdust, etc, and enjoyed it. This tractor, that she did learn to drive, intimidated her and she never did drive it. Just recently she was talking about how she missed having a smaller tractor to do things without having to wait for me, and because that's why we live on an acreage.
Well, I don't need to be hit on the head, and we reviewed this site for ideas and went shopping.
Kubota had only place with product on the lot, and it was in the back of a lumberyard and unfortunately I knew more than our salesman did, and neither my wife or I liked the ergonomics of the platform and seat. Montana has a store, but it's only 6 months old, and everything was ag size.
We ended up at our previously used JD store, we like the owner and he's treated us well, and we drove the three 2000 series tractors, and she liked the 2320 best (I did interject some things about it I liked of course-but it's "Her Tractor" you know) and we now have it at home with FEL, ballast box, RM blade, BoxBlade, and IMatch, all of which she can use.
What a wife!! She's happy, and I have a new toy, er, Machine to use. Pictures of course. Bill
