Priming hydraulic pump after draining

Drained hydraulic oil and cleaning filter
Refilled gear box. Now no oil to or from pump. ?????

Welcome to TBN. I'm a bit unclear on this one. You drained the hydraulic oil and refilled the gear box? This is all the same reservoir, right? Usually after refilling there is enough gravity flow to get fluid back to the pump. If you do not have enough to prime the pump by leaving it sit for a few minutes you will probably have to introduce oil to the suction side of the pump to reestablish flow.

If you remove the discharge line from the pump and put a line on in it's place and point it into a bucket(tie it down securely) it should pickup and prime quickly.
Or you can apply a vacuum from a shop vac to the pump discharge to establish flow.

Thanks for the ideas. Will give them a try. Hopefully I can get it up and running.
