Last spring my wife & I purchased a JD 3320 and a small JD 125 (for mowing around lots of trees and such). My wife quickly took to the little 125 mower, and chose not to drive the 3320 for fear of "doing damage".
So yesterday the Chicago area gets a record breaking six inches of really slushy snow. I'm on my drive home when I get a phone call from my wife asking how to put the 3320 in 4WD. Of course I ask why? She says she decided to plow the driveway and already has it out of the barn. Sigh. I drove home rather quickly fearing the worst.
When I got home I found she'd done a wonderful job of clearing the snow without a lick of damage to the barn, lawn, driveway, or trucks. Of course I had to hop in a run around the neighborhood clearing everyone else's driveways (they'd all taken their plows/blades off and put on their mower decks).
The whole thing was kind of a like a parent watching their son drive away in the family car for his first solo drive. Its kind of a mix of pride and shear horror.
