I recently purchased a 1984 John Deere 950 tractor, which included a used 5' John Deere Shredder and 5' Groomer.
The tractor has 500 running hours and in excellent shape, the equiptment is in good shape.
The price was $8000.
Can anyone tell me if I over paid this tractor.

I don't think so. That sounds like a pretty fair deal, especially considering the attachments.

Being a recently past / previous owner of a 1988 950. I don't think you did all that bad, but tell us a little more about the tractor. Is it a MFWD (4 wheel drive) does it have power steering and or a Front end loader ?
Mine as I said was a 1988 MFWD with 2010 hours on it. It had a FEL, backhoe, new clutch and I paid $11,500 for it. This was 2 years ago.
