Price Check Price for loading tires

/ Price for loading tires #31
Just an update on foam filling tires. I picked up my tires today from Les Schwab. They were a little over a week later getting them back than what they told me originally. Then they had charged $1.99 a pound instead of the $1 a pound they quoted me. So I was torked off about that. I didn't get it in writing. I can tell you that 9.5x16 lug tires will hold a little over 140lbs of foam each. So that will give me plenty of weight on the front tires if I am pulling logs. I won't ever have to worry about flats again. I did talk them down a little. If you go there get it in writing.

no need to be torqued - 1.99 is still on the low end for foam.

I'm still tractor shopping but just looked at Kubota's B7800 and L3240. Seattle dealer quoted RimGuard for the 7800 at about 350.00 and the L3240 was like $650. The added weight he said per tire for the 3240 was about 700lbs each. Also said they don't do the CA anymore because of rims rusting. He also said they just have Les Schwabe do the tires and that's what they charge, dealer isn't making anything on it. So take that for what it's worth.
