Kubota L2501
Looking at purchasing a new L2501 w hydrostatic transmission, loader w quick attach bucket, and R4's.
I was quoted $18,500. It's a new 2017. Does this sound like a good deal or is there room for more negotiation?

That's a decent price for my area but I've noticed a pretty wide swing in prices across the country. Here that setup would be closer to 20k

My neighbor just picked up a new L2501 HST with loader, SSQA, and R4's for $17,295 here in Virginia which I thought was a great deal. I don't think that price includes taxes or third function on the loader.

Go to the kubota website, build the tractor there, and then see how your price quote compares. Most discounts seem to be in the 10-12% range below MSRP, some as high as 15% below.

Sounds like the L2501 is a hot seller for Kubota.I don't need one but checked one out at the local dealer.I liked the size and the fact it has no emissions.Kind of reminded me(size wise any-way) of our old 8N,9N's.
My son has a L3000DT,straight gear and it is quite a work horse.

It is a hot seller -- customers are realizing that under about 2000rpm, it's very much a 34HP tractor. Unless you need to run at PTO speeds, you may never realize it's "only" a 25HP tractor. It actually feels gutsier than my L3200 when operating at lower RPMs, which is probably 80% of my tractor use.

That's suprising, I'm pretty sure they are owned by my local dealer in Fredericksburg and when I was pricing not long ago they were the same, about 19000. And they don't deal.

I paid 18500 two years ago
tried to trade it in last year with less than 100 hours to go bigger and they offered $11000:eek:
called later and asked what's the best price on a new L2501 hst 4x4 loader and they said $20,000

Bowling Green, MO. My last tractor was a MF 1529. This tractor is close to spec w the MF. The pluses is 3 range hydro and quick attach loader. Forgot to mention it also has 3 function loader valve and cruise control. I like the size and weight of this tractor. Will be fine for mowing our 6 acre lawn w a 60in finish mower but still heavy enuff to keep up a gavel drive w a grader blade and run a post hole digger.
