My local Kubota dealer has a BX2230 with a 60" mmm on his used tractor lot. It has 352 hours on the hour meter. I haven't talked to him yet since they are only opened half a day on Saturday. What would be a good ball park price on this unit? It is in very good condition. Did the BX2230 models have any production flaws or problems? I didn't think they did. I know the newer BX models have had problems with the abrupt stopping issue and plastic hood and rear fenders cracking. This 2230 has a metal hood and rear fenders.

None of the BXs had any of those issues prior to the introduction of the BX24.

The only thing I can recall reading, but best if a current BX2230 owner confirms, is that the 3PH does not lift as high as the later models - BX2350 and BX2360. Again, not 100% sure, but something to check on.

CHDinCT and LBrown59,

Thank you for your comments. That's all I've been able to find is the difference with the 3PH lift. Hopefully I'll find out what the price is tomorrow.

I have a bx2230 and that would be my only complaint [3pt lift height] but not a deal stopper for sure.As you can purchase the correct 3pt attachment most of the time you just won't find a lot of use'd items.Of coarse a cutting torch and welder will make most any attachment work quit well.Good luck hope you get the deal your looking for. Can't really say what their bringing now.Can tell you about 5yr's ago mine new was about $8400 for tractor $1500 for 60"mmm I think with out looking back thru file's

Like the heavier deck and bagger then on the newer ones, took the dynamo off and put on the alternator. Use the King Kutter XB box and rear blades along with rake and Land Pride tiller. Around 240 hours and counting.

That's pretty close to what my BX23 was back in the last quarter of 2004.
$8100 tractor .
$1300 for 60"mmm.

So, are you now a BX2230 owner? Any updates?

Here ya go!

I traded into this one back in Sept. I valued my ford at $9000 and they accepted. This had 360 hrs on it and just as you see it. They changed all fluids and delivered.
It vacuums leaves great and mows my 2 acres very well.

I am happy with it!

My local dealer finally gave me a price on the BX2230, $8,500.00, and that's with the 60"mmm. I would have to finance it, so through KCC the interest would be 7.78% for 48 months. Then he's trying to push the sales on his remaining BX2350 models. He's offering a BX2350 with a 60"mmm at $10,975.00. The normal list price on Kubota's website is $11,807.00.

After crunching the numbers there's only a $6.00 difference between the BX2230 and BX2350 with KCC's "new" and "used" financing terms. I haven't checked any other financing options yet to see if I could find a lower interest rate for the BX2230. I'm kind of interested in the BX2350 now. I know it has the issues of the plastic body parts cracking and the abrupt stopping, but I thought that wasn't to bad of a price though. I haven't test drove one yet either.

I also have to try and sell my 2004 model Toro WH 520xi. I would rather try to sell it first then trade it in. I'll have to start advertising it here, and on a few other websites as well. Well, according to KCC, I have until 6/30/09 to sell my 520xi. I'll also see if my local Kubota dealer will give me an idea on what type of trade-in value he'll offer me. The BX2230 was a local purchase/trade-in. The former owner bought it new at this Kubota dealer, then traded it in on a BX2350 last fall.

1* $8,500.00, and that's with the 60"mmm. I would have to finance it, so through KCC the interest would be 7.78% for 48 months. Then he's trying to push the sales on his remaining BX2350 models.

1*That's almost as much as it cost new back in 2004 when I got my BX23.
BX2230 tractor $8100 60 '' MMM $1300 total $9400.
2*This is a much better deal than the 2230.
By the time you pay about 2500 interest on top of the 8500 you will have about $11000 in the used 2230 with no warranty.
The BX2350 with a warranty and for all practical purpose the same money is a no brainer .

That's exactly what I was thinking.
