Have been looking for a while at various tractors- came across a 2003 4710 e-hydro 4X4 460 FEL R-4's 485 hrs seems to be in good condition. What is a fair price for the tractor? Are there any known problems with the model? Tried a 4500 with power reverser & liked it a lot but the front axle was not replaced under JD's warranty program & i was worried about the possibility of future problems with the front end so i passed - what are the +/- of e-hydro? I have a JD 445 mower & understand the benefits with smaller tractor and mowing grass with a hydrostatic transmission but is it as durable in a larger frame tractor?

17 to 22 k depends on condition. Excellent machines. I have a 4700 and love it.

The e-hyrdo rocks. It is so precise when you are doing close up work - it is very handy. I have not heard of any disasters - they seem very durable.

One negative - it can be a pain doing big jobs with out cruise control. If you are used to putting it in gear and setting the throttle - aint so on the e-hyrdo. Your ankle be very tired on a big pasture.
