If funds permit, make that a HOT pressure washer.
Hot high pressure water is vastly superior to just high pressure cold water.
Cold water smears much of the old grease around.
Hot high pressure water (with soap) blows the old grease completely away.

Consider it done!

I'm an old heavy equipment tech. I keep it simple and just follow the owners manual maintenance guidelines. From experience talking to engineers, the maintenance intervals in the owners manual will be sufficient to ensure your equipment lasts a long time. They really do a lot of testing to ensure the end user has maximum reliability.

If it makes you feel better, then double the guidance. Admittedly, I've done this, but in the overall scheme of things, probably was not necessary.

Drive it like you own it (vice drive it like you stole it!!!)

At least once a year I'll go around my tractor and gently tighten/torque every nut/bolt I can access. I learnt from my Navy days that vibration has a subtle tendency to loosen things... that, to me, is true preventive maintenance. Wheel lugs are one of those things that can be forgotten about.

If it 'moves', but doesn't have a grease nipple, then I'll give it a short spray of lanolin-based lubricant.

Take a sharpie & write the hours & date on filters at the time of installation.
