I got a seal kit for it and luckily found a YouTube video where he installed seals in a pump like mine. Took about and hour to do it. A picture of the old seals and the pump mostly put back together.
Dodge man I felt like the odds were against you on this. But sometimes you just got too see. It’s just to much pressure in there, and the cylinders wear and you know it’s just luck if it works. Now we all know. Thanks! It was a failure, I’m still getting water into the pump oil. When I watched the YouTube video where they showed how to rebuild them he was negative on these pumps. He said they are meant to be replaced instead of rebuilt. It does work and makes more pressure but running it just a few minutes put quite a bit of water into the oil. I’ll get a new pump for it.
good on you for trying, and nice work. It's disappointing that some things are now made NOT to be rebuidable. That needs to change, but I think next revolution or so.It was a failure, I’m still getting water into the pump oil. Scotty I think now is a good time to decide what if anything are we doing to short life this stuff. I always make sure I have plenty of pressure and flow for the supply. The lack of either will kill it quickly. And a good filter is a positive around here. Our water sometimes has color or oil in it. Pumps don’t do good with trashed water. Any more ideas?good on you for trying, and nice work. It's disappointing that some things are now made NOT to be rebuidable. That needs to change, but I think next revolution or so.
I posted here in #5 tells what I did. BTW, it's stll working, but I'd pay twice as much to buy a rebuildable pump.
