What's the expected time frame?
I told him on Monday 4/8 that i want to move forward. He ran my credit and was approved 4/9. Said would be ready the following week on 2/15 or 2/16. They had everything except the 3rd function which came in 4/11.
Yesterday, without much reason, he says hopefully they can get started on it today, 4/18.
I realize my tractor is small, and not a lot of $$ to them, but it is to me.
How long does it usually take to prepare a tractor to go out the door? I know the 3rd function is only a couple hours of labor. Other than checking to make sure fluids are topped and everything is tight and torqued, not sure what else they have to do. They are filling the rears with rimguard.
I realize it's a busy time of year for them, I'm just really excited and ready to get my new machine.
Am i being impatient or are they slow walking me?

A couple weeks is probably typical. There's assembly and hopefully some checking out. They will have to wait for the rimguard guy to come around. My dealer runs each tractor on a PTO dyno for a while just to check.

A competent dealer should have RG on hand and be able to prepare and deliver any tractor of any size within a week. I had mine in less than that.

I think mine took a little over a week. They had to haul it out of town to get the rimguard put in the tires, and they had to wait for something to come in, I think the pallet forks.

The tractor I looked at on the dealers lot was the same model, etc,etc - but was not the unit I got. It was exactly ten day from the day we shook hands until the truck delivered my tractor. Mine came in a shipping crate. No wheels - no FEL - no bucket - no Rim Guard - no grapple - no third function valve. The dealer had some of the items - we waited for the remainder.

I feel that ten days was a great turn around time. Considering only about half of what was needed was currently on-site.

This was my 2009 Kubota M6040.

Mine took a little over 3 weeks, but some of that was because of a snowstorm that shut most of the state down for a week. And a week of it was because I was out of town and couldn't take delivery.

Just realized my original post had messed up dates. Should have read dealer said it would be ready 4/15 or 4/16.

They may have had to transport it somewhere to get the rears filled.

Maybe they're just swamped right now? Getting into their busy season, with everyone gearing up for the season, buying attachments, getting equipment serviced so that it's ready for planting?

I know what it's like to want your new toy brought home.

It'll come.

And pics when you get it.

We like tractor pics.

Finally, brand new shiny tractor delivered to my driveway today.
And yep, they forgot my new grapple at the shop. This has been a weird, stressful buying experience, but **** glad it here. Can't wait to get to it. I sold my old tractor a couple weeks ago and my grass is out of control.
And of course, it's supposed to rain all weekend.
Will post pics soon.

Lol.

They must be really slammed right now.

At least (most of it) is "home" now.

I try to get stuff out the door within two days of whenever all the components are on hand. We hit the target probably 85-90% of the time but right now it can be a struggle.

No, but it's tasty. They had some sort of promotion and had special labels printed up with the dealer's name on it 20190420_211618.jpeg
