Powers Out

Yep, this sucks. Went out about noon on Saturday, still out. Missed the Chiefs game and all. We probably have a foot of really wet snow, branches down all over the place. Been running the furnace and fridge on generator, so far so good with that set up. Keeping warm, getting to know the wife again. Back to work now, she stayed home to babysit the generator. Been praying to the Electrical Gods, no luck with that either. :laughing: On the up side I got to use my snowblower that has been sitting for 3 years.

Our local kid is doing good as quarterback for the Chiefs. My wife is friends with his Step Mom and I've been FB friends with his dad for years. It's a lot of fun seeing his family celebrate his success!!

As for the power outage, I bought a small Honda generator five years ago and it still starts on the first or second pull. It's quiet, last all night when needed, and I can have the TV and internet going in five minutes when we lose power.

praying to the gods doesn't work......it only makes them laugh....:laughing:......longest I've been out is 7 days......I learned a valuable lesson when I first moved here.....no power means no water.....and it takes forever to melt snow.......generator was one of the best purchases I ever made!........hope it comes back on soon.......Jack
