Buying Advice Power-Trac 1430

MR, talked to Chris @ Power-Trac a week or so ago and I asked him about painting the 1445 PT green instead of red and he said they are the colors for a reason: Green is for Gas and Red is for Diesel.

That is not exactly true as my early 90's red 1445 has a gas engine with radiator.

Probably took em a while to come to some sort of standardization... :laughing:

I was originally told back on 2001 that it was Sherwin Williams machine green and machine black (they sent me some for touch up paint as my tractor had lots of shipping rash that I complained about). Looking back on it, and now with 14 years of usage under my belt, it was POINTLESS TO TOUCH UP THOSE MINOR SCRATCHES!!!! :laughing: Today I was pushing through some of the nastiest, densest brush, stickers and saplings clearing some trails and starting to reclaim a field I wish I'd never let go wild. That plate steel is never going to rust through, ever, from paint scratches, in my lifetime. :thumbsup:

I use oil to keep my paint nice and shiny. And it self applies. No rust for me.

You get that system as a prototype from the factory or are you planning an aftermarket niche product?

Well, it came from the factory this way... thought it was stock.....
