power steering? hows it done

I have a cub cadet from hd ltx 1050 which I do love but I would love it even more if it had power steering I geuss while I'm asking I also have a craftsman I believe lt 1000 both have hydro tranys but as I said I would love to have ps in both if it's possible with out breaking the bank my cub is set up for my lawn cutting but the craftsman I would like to use as a garden tractor snow plow ect. all that being said if I found a little bit bigger garden tractor I may decide to possibly fabing a loader attachment I suppose I'm not certain on anything other than ideas in reguards tho putting some form of hydraulics like steering 3 point, ptos for a b lower ...clearly i'm lost in this so I am asking for just a touch of direction please.

You will need to figure the size pump the engine can support.

How much HP does the engine develop?

You need to determine the GPM you will need to operate all the hyd.

You might need to split the hyd to feed the PS and the rest for the attachments.

You need a reservoir, hoses, valves, fittings, PS cyl and valve, etc

It would probably be easier to try an electronic power steering system not sure about having enough of a charging system as I do not see a simple way to get a drive means off the vertical mount engine.

You may look at some of the upper end Kubota G2160, GR2120 lawn mowers and the John Deere x500 , x700 series lawn mowers as some of those do have power steering.

I use a pump like this on my Power-Trac, driven by the fan belt.

Electric steering, don't know about that.

This pump below provides all my steering and lift.

This pump also takes about 4 HP to pump 2 GPM at 3000 psi.

You could even make yourself a hyd power pack using a 5 HP Honda engine and drive the above pump.

The hyd power pack would contain an engine, pump, valve, gage, QD's, hoses , filter, reservoir, fluid, frame.

There are some small tractor kits to mount on your mower/tractor.

Perhaps you can build something like this.
