I do yard final grades, I saw a buddy who just bought me and it looked like it did a good job. Less hand raking. I heard you can independly adjust the rear wheels and cut swales and contour the ground.

I have the Land Pride version of the Harley Rake, and I have nothing but good things to say about it (except the price). I use it for maintaining a 3/4 mile long driveway, and for seed bed prep where I'm planting grass. The only areas requiring more than one pass are where I haven't gone through and brush hogged it first. If you take off one endplate and angle it in that direction, it windrows all the grass, rocks and sticks on that side.

I got mine slightly used and saved quite a bit of money, but it is still my most expensive implement.

Yes that's why I don't have one yet besides tractor that's the most expensive. I thought my gannon was high. I hear they are like a boxblade. I found one for 3500.00 it looks good and that's still high I think.

A Harley rake is a pretty amazing attachment for seed bed prep. You can level, contour and spread as well as break up root clumps and windrow rocks, roots and other debris. I still use a box blade and landscape rake if there is significant amounts of dirt to move. I just spread and leveled a pile of wood chips this week. It was about a 10 yard pile that had been sitting for almost a year. I distributed the pile with the loader and it would not spread well as the chips tended to stick together from sitting so long. I raised the barrier on the Harley rake and went over the area and it distributed the chips and smoothed it right out in one pass. The main drawback as everyone says is the price. I bought mine used and fixed it up. Be careful buying used. Because of the high cost, most are commercial use and often not well maintained. Many that I looked at had bent frames, many missing teeth, cracked gauge wheel hubs, damaged drive chain and sprockets from not maintaining chain tension and even cracked gear box housings.

A few years ago I started a small landscaping side business. My main focus was putting in lawns. Started out with a landscape rake, rototiller, box blade. After getting into a couple very rocky areas decided to purchase a harley rake. OMG this is by far the most useful tool for this kind of work. I bought mine new at a very good price and sold it a few years later for almost what I paid for it. Watch craigslist, i have seen some pretty good deals. You will not be disappointed. A must tool for what you are doing. Makes a perfect seed bed.

I'll say for working with asphalt millings, ypu can't beat a LandPride power rake. With the solid cutter bars (vs. the nubs on a Harley) you can work the material and successive passes willbreak up any larger asphalt chunks
