I know nothing about these.
Looking for something like this for mowing.
Am I looking in the wrong direction
Dependability and ease of maintenance are most important to me.
Preserving history and using vintage equipment is something I look for

My Dad had one of those that I cut my teeth on in the early 70's. It was a very durable and useful machine, but very uncomfortable to operate compared to more modern tractors.... Loud, vibrations, and slow.
When he passed a few years ago he specifically wanted me to have it, but I just didn't have room to store it.

They were/are tough little machines, ours had a 14 hp Kolher, with one transmission. Some models had a double transmission setup, could go much faster( not sure that is a good idea for me) If it had hydraulics (ours did not) it was belt driven from a pulley between the engine and transmission. Most power implements were driven from the front engine pulley, made for some interesting engagement levers for the mower and tiller. Had independent rear brakes like a regular tractor. Ours was also from late 60's early 70's. I mowed many a yard and pasture with ours. It did a good job plowing and we had a blade for the front, ok for snow, light dirt and gravel work. The two models I remember were the Jim Dandy and the Power King. As a teen, I did most of the repairs, usually because I srewed something up. A pretty simple and robust machine, sort of wish I had another one, but not enough to spend a lot on it. Do like the history and vintage part.
