That is sort of difficult. This spreader actually does a good job of spreading. I ran it about half speed. After 5 loads I used the bucket to push it into a better pile. Id love to just have a spreader without the beaters. It could double as a firewood hauler.Just curious how you're going to get it to "pile" instead of "spread"?

Lou, I wanted to mention that you may want to check the set screws on the roller collars. I just noticed today that I have lost 3 of 4 set screws on mine. I am going to add a little blue lock tight to them when I replace.Here's a couple pictures from today,

Haven't even used the mower yet, got it assembled and the gear box filled and half the grease fittings lubed some are not taking grease.
Brand new chinneee fitting, I'll pull some of them and replace them to see what happens.
Nice catch. On any project I make that uses pillow blocks, those things always fly out in a matter of a couple minutes.
