They have been doin ok. Except where the mother in law knocked one over :D Can't put the fence too close to the main drive :D

The electric jack hammer was sure a lot more useful than the post hole auger though
My HF electric hammer has paid for itself many times over for the amount of post holes that I have used it on. I need to get a four foot bit for those deeper holes that my three foot bits fall short on. Don't know that I could lift the darn thing by the end of the day though.

I'm glad the post was popped back up. Looks like the "advert" post was removed.

I have been trying to decide if I should use all of the red cedar we have for posts. From comments in other posts, no pun intended, it looks like red cedar posts will last. Seeing a post from Twinkles from 7 years ago is just more info. :) And Soundguy's suggestion of using copper napthenate.

Later,
Dan

We have rocks all over the place. And, in the summer, the clay here is hard as a rock. Living in the middle of the classic "Gold Country"(I'm only 15 minutes form the gold rush discovery of Coloma), I wonder how those gold rush miners ever dug any thing up with just picks and shovels.

We have a pointed bit, and a spade bit. Pointed bit for rock, spade bit for hard clay.
