I didn't say the Li's lacked torque, I said they were torque limited. I'm also comparing fully charger batterys. Why would you compare otherwise?

FYI Porter Cable is made by Dewalt/B & D but the batteries are not interchangeable.
Being the prime brand the Dewalt line will always have more options such as variety and battery power options.
Example, to my knowledge, only Dewalt offers brushless technology.

Still sounds like you're saying they provide less torque than other batteries. I'm just saying I don't notice that, and if anything it's better when at a low charge.

That's NOT what I said. They both have adequate torque. The Li driver simply shuts down when a certain level of torque (or possibly heating of the battery) while the Ni-Cd continues to drive but slows down until the lag/hole is complete.

I'm also confused about your statement about 'low voltage" as you previously stated that you charge your batterys after every use.

I know it's more than you are willing to pay, but I've had extremely good luck with the Milwaukee Fuel line of cordless power tools. I have their hammer/drill driver, the 1/4" impact, sawzall, the 7-1/4 skilsaw, and their latest cordless compound miter saw that comes with the 9ah battery. That thing does amazing things. But anyways I know you are aware of them just another option when your feeling rich. Lol.

I think you will be just fine with RIGID. They make good tools.

Yeah, I'm sure it's a cut-out because of heat. With stuff like that I use an impact driver.

I never said anything about low voltage, only a low charge. Yes I charge after every use, but that doesn't mean I don't run batteries completely down. Not as often with Li-ion but did it a lot with Ni-cd. Plus with long breaks between uses the Ni-cds would start off pretty weak sometimes, don't have that issue with li-ion.
