Also I was looking at aux heat for my office (we keep the heat low during the day and I work from home) and was asking for suggestions for heaters last fall..
although the poster above likes his, the eden-pure heaters typically didnt get great comments/reviews due to the high price for same amount of heat..
Basically i was told a 1500 watt heater - whether a pelonis disc furnace($90) /ceramic heater ($30-$40) /milk house style with exposed metal coils (pretty cheap) /eden pure ($300) - uses the same amount of energy - 1500 watts...
I know I will be corrected if I am wrong, but that was what I was told

I agree. I bought one, and there is no magic. 1500 watts is 1500 watts, does not matter what voltage or amps is. I use unvented propane heaters all the time in winter, for at least 20 years now. Never had a problem except you have to take the hair spray can away from the other half or fumes from spray will stink house badly. Can not paint inside in winter either.
