pond weed removal

I have a 1 acre pond that gets what is called Sago pond weed growing from the bottom. Any ideas on a home built drag to remove?

You can modify a gate to make a drag, it will rake up the water weed... and then you will have a tremendous crop of weeds. Each time you rake it it will more than double the number of plants that grow.
You do not indicate what state you are in, the BEST control is with white amur (Ctenopharyngodon idellus)...
Depending where you are located stock a couple dozen in your 1 acre pond and your weed problem will be gone.

There is a company called Aquacide that makes a lot of weed control products for ponds. I have used them and they work very well.
