Well as some of you know I am in the middle of dredging our pond. I broke an axle on the dozer so I've been waiting on parts. Finally got the parts but in the wisdom of momma nature she also figured we needed rain and lots of it. So here are a couple of pictures pond drained......pond allmost full in 1 day :confused2: :drool:. The pond is 6' for the most with some going down as far as 8-10' Oh well if ya can't beat it..........take a nap and try again :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

We've had 6" of rain this week, 4" since last night, and still raining. Some areas getting a whole lot more.

You guys are lucky we haven't seen any rain since July, we got a little last week but It was not enough to help anything. We are still 6 1/2 inches behind where we are supposed to be. I guess it'll all even out this winter with the snow.

You can have some of ours. We've been getting it all summer. The news just said the other day that this will be the first full week (7 consecutive days) this year that the high temps stayed at or above 70 degrees.:confused2:

The weather underground report yesterday was that NC was supposed to get 20 to 25 inches over the past four days. If that happened here in PEI, there would be anything left but a reddish-brown stain on the water.

I wish I had your luck with rain. My pond is nearly dry. It has been over 3 months since we had any rain more than just a dust settler. We spent several thousand dollars enlarging it by raising the dam and digging out some more on the shallow end, but it continues to get smaller. I guess I will try to dig out some more in the next few days so if it ever rains and does fill it up, it will be a much larger and deeper pool.

I wouldn't exactly say lucky, there have been a few deaths because of it, flash floods. To much of anything is not really all that good but an overdose is just plain bad.

We were in a small drought but made up for it in less then 24hrs. The pond I pictured above is now overflowing. Yesterday I ran 2 pumps {capable of pumping 20,000gal+ per hr combined} for a few hrs. They didn't make a dent infact the water was still rising while they were running wide open. Funny thing is, I was just saying we need rain the day before, but I was hoping it'd hold off for just a few more days, now I'm back to square 1. The sun has finally came out, time to go start the pumps
