Does that dam have a core trench inside it? Looks like you are piling clay over grass to build it.

The last few segments of the video I am pushing dirt from the shallow end of the pond (opposite of the dam) up into a shooting backstop berm. In hindsight I shouldn't have included it in the video and named it pond build.

The first two clips of the dozens running together we are building the dam.

Yes I dug a core with an excavator then we used the dozers to fill it in as we built up the dam. The scraper made laps around the back side of the dam while dozers build the front part up. The timelapse segment in the middle is me on the backslope of the dam pushing the topsoil over the red clay dam.

I have lots more video to edit together I'll link it here when done.

Thanks! The pup is half Chocolate Lab and half Border Collie, the momma, Miss Princess, is a full blood Border Collie, a very fast Border Collie.

It has been good so far. Decent sized bass and catfish. Can't find a Pic of the catfish we caught but it was about 16" long. They were tiny tiny when we put them in, bought them from the fish truck in a plastic bag!!

The biggest challenge that I have with my pond is having too many fish in it. The rule I tell everyone that comes over is that they have to keep what they catch. No catch and release!!!!

The only way to get big bass is to get rid of the small bass. And the only way to do that is to catch them and remove them from the pond.
